Big Island Morning

I painted this watercolor outdoors by the tropical shoreline of the Big Island of Hawaii. Standing under the shade of the heliotrope trees, I could see patches of azure water through the branches.  In the distance, a sailboat was visible heading down the coast. A warm tropical breeze was rustling the leaves, creating a peaceful coastal scene.
