Splash of Colors

This watercolor was created during the Quick Paint competition at the 2025 Capitola Plein Air event, where artists had just two hours to complete a painting on location. I set up near the Capitola Esplanade bandstand, looking toward the shoreline where fellow artists were gathered under umbrellas, creating their own interpretations of the scene. The bright umbrellas became a focal point, adding a burst of color against the sparkling water and sunlit coast. This painting captures the lively energy of a day spent outdoors, surrounded by creativity, ocean breezes, and the beauty of Monterey Bay.

The painting is protected by several coats of UV spray and framed in a bamboo-like wood frame.
