Memories of Home

Memories of Home is inspired by summers at a waterside cottage in my native Finland. In the heart of midsummer, the sun barely dips below the horizon. Even in early morning, it's golden light filters through the pine forest, bathing the shoreline in a soft glow. A small rowboat glides gently toward the dock, completing a peaceful morning on the water. This painting captures a moment of reverie and the enduring comfort of a place that will forever feel like home.

This 10 x 10 artwork is painted on 100% cotton paper with waxed watercolor and highlights added in water-soluble oils. The paper is mounted on a gallery-depth cradled panel; the artwork is protected with UV spray and a wax finish.
