Welcome!

I'm Tiina, a nature lover and landscape artist based in California. My journey with art began by the lakes and rivers of Finland, fostering a lifelong affinity with water. Today, I capture this connection through watercolors, a medium that allows me to explore textures, shadows, and hidden colors in an intuitive and spontaneous fashion. I primarily paint scenes near where I live, infusing each piece with a strong sense of place. 

Both my plein air and studio pieces tell stories of our interaction with the environment. Coastal landscapes dominate my portfolio, characterized by transparent watercolors and soft brushstrokes that create luminous dreamscapes. These paintings highlight nature's soothing power, aiming to evoke beauty and harmony.  Through my art, I invite viewers to pause, observe, and connect deeply with our surroundings.  I hope you join me in this journey of discovery.
